We are looking for a new role to join us in building the new Data & Analytics center of excellence in Vilnius. The role as Tech Lead will lead this new team which consists of Data Engineers and Data infrastructure specialists. The Data & Analytics center of excellence covers the technical aspects of building reports and dashboards and works in close collaboration with other colleagues of the Data & Analytics team who are responsible to engage with the business.

As a Tech Lead within Royal Unibrew, you are responsible for maintaining and developing the Data & Analytics Platform and governance for data flows to and from our digital products, in line with the strategy of Royal Unibrew.

You will focus on ensuring our data platform is designed and governed for a smooth running and automated data platform for data operations, data structures and reusability. You will in close collaboration with Data Product Owner engage with the business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate this to work packages for the Data & Analytics team while ensuring a long term design of the data platform. You will be the go-to person for technical insights and understanding of the data platform and day-to-day deliveries from the data engineers as they will report to you.

You will report to Head of Data & Analytics. The Data & Analytics team is part of the Commercial IT & Data team of Group IT. In terms of content, you can also count on coaching and support from other colleagues in the Group IT organization team.

Here's what you like to do:

• Design and govern the data platform and ensure its long term technical purpose, through enabling technology, documentation, guidelines
• Build data solution architecture, so that data sets, pipelines and other parts of the development work can be reused and streamlined
• Maintaining and develop the data engineering team in relation data platforms, data streams, information products and other data solutions
• Work with the latest technologies from Microsoft like Fabric as the chosen strategic platform for data
• Continuously improving the delivery, availability and performance of data
• Implementing the roadmap for Data & Analytics, in close collaboration with your colleagues
• Work together with the data product owner to setup an efficient way of working from business requirements to realization

Your team

Within Royal Unibrew you will be part of the Data & Analytics team which is part of the Commercial IT & Data team of the centralized Group IT organization. The team is in its current setting new and growing and currently consists of 3 FTE with the ambition to grow towards 8 by the end of 2024. Together with the rest of the Commerce IT & Data team, you have the mission to make Royal Unibrew and especially the commercial functions within the company, data-driven. Your workplace is located in Vilnius in our brand new office. Regular working from home is possible, with a 60/40 (office/home) ratio as a guideline.

Solution-oriented, analytical, proactive, independent. These are keywords that describe you. But if you really want to succeed in the role, you have the following must-haves:

• Degree in the direction of Information Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Physics or similar technical field
• At least 5 years of work experience in a similar role as a Solution Architect or/and Data Engineer, where you have gained experience with complex data sets, tools and components within the data architecture, and have coordinated them with business requirements
• Hands-on experience with Solution Architecture for Analytics & Reporting solutions (data warehousing, data lakes, (T-)SQL) is a requirement
• At least 2 years of experience as people manager or coaching/sparring with data engineers
• Relevant knowledge of the Azure stack (i.e. Fabric,  DevOps, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Synapse Spark pools, Databricks, Azure ML and Power BI) is required
• Relevant knowledge of Agile/SCRUM and DevOps is a plus
• Good knowledge of the English language, both verbally and in writing
