Finance Tribe enables efficient management of Danske Banks financial position and resources by providing high quality data via modern technology solutions across all financial domains.
You will join a Great Tribe of developers, BI & Data Engineers, DevOps, IT Systems Analysts and Business Analysts, Architects – all working in a cross-functional and self-managed agile squads.
Currently we are looking for a Chapter Lead that will join our Tribe and lead a matured team of Data Engineers. Being a Chapter Lead in our Tribe provides good balance of leadership and engineering – it includes leading, mentoring, and growing engineers in the chapter, but also at the same time you will be able to have hands on deliveries in squad keeping your engineering skills sharp. Moreover, we are on Turning to New Tech path – this brings new opportunities to be the part of our data and its processing modernization journey.
You will:
- Be responsible for growing and developing a team of skilled Data Engineers, taking accountability for their professional and personal growth
- Together with other Chapter Leads lead the Tribe in creating a collaborative and high-performance environment through empowering leadership
- Define best data engineering practices in the Tribe through collaboration with other Chapter Leads, Architects, Engineers and Data Engineering Guild
- Design, build, and maintain ETLs and infrastructure required for data processing, analysis, and integration across various systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement system improvements and new features
- Act as a subject matter expert in the Tribe for Data Engineering related questions consulting other squads and engineers on most complex solutions
About you:
- 5+ years of experience working as a Data Engineer with strong understanding of ETL processes, relational databases, and data modelling
- 2+years of experience as a leader in a engineering field
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. Python is preferred
- Experience in working with ETL tools like SSIS, IBM Data Stage, Informatica, AWS Glue etc. to develop data pipelines ingesting data from structured / semi-structured data sources. AWS Glue is preferred
- Experience with managing infrastructure, servers, and clusters on on-prem cloud platforms and public ones such as AWS, GCP or Microsoft Azure. AWS is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, ability to explain IT lingo to non-technical colleagues in a simple manner
- Advanced English skills, both written and spoken
We offer
Monthly salary range from 5200 EUR to 7800 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
