Job description
- Consulting clients on the licensing process, including analysing requirements, preparing applications, and representing clients before the Bank of Lithuania.
- Assisting clients with a range of post-licensing issues, such as maintaining compliance and navigating regulatory changes.
- Assisting clients with the transfer of qualifying capital shares, management changes, or other modifications in licensed companies.
- Supporting and advising clients during inspections by the Bank of Lithuania or other institutions.
- Advising foreign entities on the provision of financial services in Lithuania, including analysing permitted and prohibited activities.
- Monitoring and analysing changes in FinTech and financial services regulations.
- Drafting and implementing AML/CTF compliance policies and sanction procedures.
- Organising training sessions on the latest regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Structuring and documenting local and cross-border financing transactions.
- Drafting loan agreements, other financing agreements, and creating and formalising security instruments (pledges, mortgages, guarantees, sureties, etc.).
- Preparing legal opinions on financing transactions.
- Advising clients on complex financing issues, assessing legal risks, and providing recommendations.
- Collaborating with lawyers from other jurisdictions on cross-border transactions.
- Participating in negotiations with other parties involved in transactions.
- Staying up-to-date with and analysing developments in financial law.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in law.
- At least 2 years of legal experience in financing transactions.
- Excellent English language skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively and adapt in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Commitment to teamwork, fostering collaboration, and maintaining positive communication.
- Initiative and a desire for continuous learning and professional development.
