The Data Platform Tribe, located within Technology Services/Data & Functions at Danske Bank, serves as the centralized hub for Data Warehouse, enterprise reporting, and analytics services across various banking domains. This tribe is actively transitioning to support the banks cloud journey, focusing on becoming more event-driven and reducing reliance on batch processing.
The tribe consists of 11 squads, each comprising approximately 8-12 full-time employees, including a Product Owner and a Chapter Lead. Operating globally, the tribe has teams in Denmark, Lithuania, and India, leveraging diverse expertise to enhance data management and processing capabilities at Danske Bank.
As a Tribe Data Architect, you will shape and guide the data architecture at Danske Bank as it embraces new technological advancements. With deep knowledge of the domains covered by the Tribe and a robust understanding of banking disciplines, you will serve as a strategic leader and expert in architecture, comfortable with a range of analytical, problem-solving, and communication techniques.
You will:
- Craft a data strategy that aligns with the organizations strategic objectives, ensuring it integrates seamlessly with the broader IT strategy and architectural standards of the bank
- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models to fulfill business needs, while driving strategic architectural decisions
- Define naming conventions, data standards, and data quality frameworks to ensure organizational consistency and adherence to best practices
- Design principles and patterns to ensure automatic full lineage on supported platforms
- Implement data governance protocols to enhance data availability, usability, and security, while also ensuring the IT assets and service portfolio follow the architecture standards
- Optimize and enhance the overall data architecture, including establishing data principles for the group, and actively reducing technical debt by showing due diligence in the sustainable management of the Tribe Product Portfolio
- Provide sparring and guidance for other architects and developers on solution designs
About you:
- Extensive experience in an architect role, preferably in financial institutions, with a proven track record of leading strategic IT portfolio planning and architectural clarifications
- Expertise in designing data models within Data Warehousing, Data Mesh, and Data Products, and in implementing robust data governance frameworks
- Profound knowledge in establishing and maintaining data standards and quality, with expert-level knowledge in enterprise architecture disciplines such as DDD, EDA, and SOA
- Demonstrated experience in managing and optimizing data warehouse architectures, particularly during transitions from batch processing to event-driven systems
- Advanced consulting, communication, and stakeholder management skills, capable of working independently and navigating complex and ambiguous environments
- Advanced English language skills
We offer
Monthly salary range from 6240 EUR to 9360 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
