Are you experienced professional in corporate storytelling, with a strong set of strategic communication skills? Are you ready to lead and guide a team of highly competent and motivated communication professionals? We invite you to join the Brand, Communication and Sustainability Division at Swedbank Lithuania. We are now looking for a newly established position of Head of Communication Department with a special focus on high impact communication of the bank's strategic messages, initiatives, projects and focus areas.
The Head of the Communication Department will be responsible for developing both short-term and long-term strategies for Corporate Communication, leading the delivery of newsworthy content to targeted groups reactively and proactively, and enhancing the bank's communication channels. This role involves developing comprehensive country communication strategies aimed at bolstering the bank's reputation, engaging stakeholders, and increasing awareness of its financial products and services. The Head of the Department will oversee the production and distribution of relevant content that resonates with different audience segments, coordinate with both external media outlets and internal employee communication channels to ensure a unified message across all platforms, monitor media trends and stakeholder opinions to respond appropriately, thus maintaining a positive public image. Additionally, safeguarding the bank's brand and organizational reputation by upholding its core values is paramount. This unit will work collaboratively across the organization and its unit to ensure consistent messaging and effective communication strategies.
Head of Communication Department will lead the team working with media, internal communication, social media and communication projects supporting strategic business goals, crisis communication and will report to Head of Brand, Communication and Sustainability Division.

What will be your daily work in this role:

  • Contribute to building trust, loyalty, and engagement among targeted audiences and stakeholders.
  • Be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive corporate communication strategies and plans for strategic initiatives, projects and focus areas of the bank.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in a variety of business areas and functions.
  • Contribute to the continues development of Swedbank brand in an environment characterized by rapid change.
  • Collaborate smoothly with all units within Group Brand, Communication and Sustainability and Baltic Banking Communication and Marketing.
  • Be part of our open, simple and caring culture with fantastic colleagues.
What is needed in this role:
  • Bachelors degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing Business Administration related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience senior-level communications role.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience leading a team of at least 5 people.
  • Proven track record developing executing successful comprehensive strategies aligned business goals objectives.
  • Good understanding of corporate communication principles, ability to convert business priorities into strategic messages and targeted communication actions.
  • Great communicationandcooperation skills, both with internal and external stakeholdersand cross-border.
  • Good knowledge of customer needs, knowledge of financial industry trends, products and services is an advantage.
  • Pro-active and result oriented mindset with strong sense of ownership; natural willingness to take the initiative, act and drive the work forward.
  • Flexibility and ability to learn in rapidly changing environment.
  • Proven ability to efficiently manage external agencies and partners work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills and proficiency in communicating in English.
