As a Controls Project Engineer, you will:

Design and build PLC control software for advanced material handling systems on customer projects using Siemens tools and equipment;
Conduct rigorous testing of control systems, both in emulated environments and with real-world equipment, to validate system performance and reliability;
Perform commissioning delivering project solution, tested, and documented for the customer meeting or exceeding our standards;
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate automation systems into comprehensive material handling solutions;
Create and maintain good relations with customers;
Maintain Gebhardt image as top-quality, professional company.

What You Bring:

A successfully completed degree in either automation engineering, electronics engineering, or mechatronics engineering;
A 'Can-do' attitude with a passion for continuous learning and embracing new challenges;
Experience in programmable logic controllers such as Siemens, Beckhoff, Allen-Bradley, etc.;
Familiarity with reading and interpreting electrical drawings and system schematics;
Previous use of CAD tools,
Good understanding of automation engineering principles, implementing, and testing with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions;
Communication skills in English, both written and spoken;
Willingness to travel internationally to customer sites to support project delivery and collaborate with other teams;
Valid driving license.

Nice to have:

Experience in the material handling industry or other industrial automation sectors;
Electrical qualification;
Familiarity with Industrial Control equipment such as: ethernet-based field buses (EtherCAT, ProfiNet, etc.), and drive control systems.
