They are the hub for self-expression used by millions for mobile phone personalization, social content, and fandom art. Their app enables consumers to showcase who they are, what they like, and amplify their persona. Zedge Premium, their marketplace, enables content creators, ranging the gamut from A-list celebrities to emerging artists, to display their talent and sell their content to our users. “Shortz – Chat Stories by Zedge” offers serialized, short-form fiction stories delivered as text-messaging conversations and mini-podcasts.

Tech stack:

• Kotlin, MVVM, Reactive programming (RxJava, Flow, etc.), Dagger, Room (db), Retrofit, RESTful HTTP endpoints.
• Productivity: Gitlab, Google Cloud, Grafana, Swagger, JIRA, Confluence, Slack.

Responsibilities

• Android development within the scrum team (Zedge Ringtones/Wallpapers and Shortz apps).
• Work with the stakeholders to define and implement new features.
• Develop new features in collaboration with designers.
• Keep up-to-date with good practices and new Android platform features.
• Ensure good quality through good testing practices.
• Investigate and resolve challenging issues to ensure high quality and stability.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience with Android development.
• Experience with Kotlin is a plus.
• Experience with MVVM architecture is a plus.
• Experience with reactive programming (e.g. RxJava, Flow) is a plus.
• Good collaboration skills.
