PROCUREMENT MANAGER (technical department)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Negotiates material pricing and communicates availability and delivery schedules with vendors to maintain operational requirements and needs.
- Delivers a daily purchase order report detailing closed maintenance work orders
- Reviews and resolves pricing discrepancies.
- Work as a liaison between Purchasing, Stores, and the Maintenance Operations Control Center
- Purchases necessary supplies, parts, and equipment to support maintenance work orders and other organizational requests.
- Ensures material purchase orders are placed and received timely while verifying quantities, pricing and delivery dates.
- Manages contractor's spend and recommends cost savings activities and solutions.
- Maintains procurement records, such as items or services purchased, costs, deliveries, product quality or performance. Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list; clarifying unclear items; recommending alternatives.
- Arranges for transportation and/or storage of purchased products.
- Maintain KlasJet stock of spare parts and ensure sufficient spare parts avialability.
- Communicate updates on AOG events through reports with various departments.
- Pro-actively monitor loan and borrow activity, MEL, CDL, and NEF item activity, and other key departmental metrics.
- Pro-actively review stocking and usage levels.
- Identify interchangeable parts and seek Engineering approval for use of such parts.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- 1+ years of similar experience in airline or MRO procurement.
- Proficient in MS Office suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and can clearly present and articulate ideas.
- Flexible with work hours and requirements outside of normal working hours/days to provide atypical on-premises support in an AOG or critical event.
