About the Role

I-PHOTONICS UAB is seeking an experienced Automation Programmer to join our specialist team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing software for automated devices, managing the full lifecycle of software documentation, and ensuring our industrial systems operate with peak efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development: Design and develop software and technical documentation for automated systems.
System Analysis: Investigate characteristics of automated devices (sensors, actuators, control devices) from a programming perspective.
Implementation & Support: Install, test, and commission prototypes, systems, and modernized projects.
Technical Support: Provide ongoing maintenance, bug fixes, and optimization of software based on client needs.
Quality Assurance: Document the development process according to STB ISO 9001 and quality management standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Chief Designer and other departments to ensure products meet technical standards and certification requirements.
Training: Educate users on how to operate the developed software.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Higher education degree in a relevant field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
Experience PLC controllers: Beckhoff, Wago – deep knowledge, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi – welcome.
Programming Languages: Deep knowledge of ST (Structured Text) and proficiency in VBA scripts. Basic knowledge of high-level languages like C# or C++ and experience working with libraries.
Experience Industrial Protocols: Proficiency with Modbus RTU/TCP, CANopen, EtherCAT, Profibus DP/PA, Profinet, RS232/485, etc.
HMI/SCADA: Ability to create effective and intuitive user interfaces using tools like Movicon, and others.
Tools and Utilities: Technical documentation creation, Microsoft Office Suite, Git.
Languages: English language proficiency at a B1 level or higher, Lithuanian - Welcome (for local operations), Russian - Welcome
Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, ability to perform technical calculations, and a commitment to workplace safety and professional ethics.
